Carly is a West Point graduate, Neptune Beach local, and the heart behind Nomad Hospitality’s guest-first philosophy. After building her career in finance and tech startups in New York and San Francisco, Carly realized her true passion was creating exceptional hospitality experiences—the kind where every detail matters and guests become family.

In 2019, Carly and her husband Jered traded the chaos of Silicon Valley for the coastal charm of Jacksonville Beach, where they founded Nomad Hospitality with a mission: bring big-company systems with small-company heart. She personally vets every property, obsesses over guest reviews, and believes that hospitality isn’t just about clean sheets—it’s about making people feel genuinely welcomed in a place they’ll love returning to year after year.

Jered brings a unique blend of Army leadership, financial expertise, and hospitality obsession to Nomad. A West Point graduate and former Amazon executive, Jered spent years building operations systems for some of the world’s most demanding companies—skills he now channels into making sure your Jacksonville Beach vacation runs flawlessly.

From his time at Barclays Investment Bank to launching Amazon’s PrimeNow in San Francisco, Jered learned that the details matter. That same precision goes into every Nomad property—from smart home tech that actually works to local recommendations that don’t disappoint. He’s the behind-the-scenes systems guy making sure everything feels effortless for guests, even when it’s incredibly complex.

Originally from South Florida, Jered loves Jacksonville Beach’s laid-back vibe and believes great hospitality is the intersection of technology and genuine care. When he’s not analyzing real estate markets or optimizing pricing strategies, he’s probably at the beach with his family or mapping out the next great property acquisition.

Josh is proof that military discipline and startup hustle make for exceptional hospitality. A Naval Academy graduate with a degree in Quantitative Economics, Josh spent seven years as a Surface Warfare Officer before diving into the tech world, where he helped scale early-stage companies in San Francisco’s most competitive market.

What Josh learned in both the Navy and Silicon Valley is that the best experiences are the ones you don’t have to think about—they just work. That philosophy drives everything at Nomad: automated systems that enhance (not complicate) your stay, proactive maintenance that prevents problems before they happen, and technology that actually makes your vacation easier. Josh believes hospitality should feel effortless, even though making it effortless takes serious work behind the scenes.

After the pandemic gave Josh and his family the freedom to work remotely, they chose Neptune Beach without hesitation and never looked back. When he’s not perfecting property operations or analyzing market trends, Josh is wrangling four kids at the beach, running barefoot on the beach, or discovering yet another reason why Jacksonville is the best-kept secret on the East Coast.

Kassandra (Kass to friends) is a Navy veteran who climbed the ranks at some of Silicon Valley’s most iconic companies—Google, Facebook, and Pinterest—before realizing her true calling was creating hospitality experiences that actually feel human. After years navigating high-stakes tech communications and building world-class user experiences, she traded the corporate grind for something more meaningful: a company where guests are people, not data points.

Kass brings that big-tech precision and attention to detail to every Nomad property. She’s the one ensuring every space feels thoughtfully designed, every amenity serves a real purpose, and every guest interaction reflects genuine care. Her philosophy, honed at companies obsessed with user experience? Great hospitality isn’t just about clean towels—it’s about anticipating needs before guests even realize they have them.

After relocating to Neptune Beach with her husband Josh and their four children, Kass fell in love with the community’s laid-back vibe and authentic coastal culture. When she’s not perfecting the guest experience, she’s exploring Jacksonville’s hidden gems—and then adding them to the local recommendations guide that every Nomad guest receives.
